About us and the Studio

"The arts, quite simply, nourish the soul. They sustain, comfort, inspire" Gordon Gee.

Ebb & Flow Studio has been around for almost 5 years. It is a mainstream but inclusive art studio providing real visual arts development. One day many years ago two good friends Kerry-Anne and Tracey sat in a park in the Blue Mountains contemplating life, love and health. Both were on a healing journey with chronic conditions that were impacting heavily in their lives. Both had careers in similar fields of community services, social work, counselling, and both had a passion for art and design. Kerry-Anne had to give up her life long dream as a graphic designer due to a connective tissue disorder and immune disorder. Tracey also struggled to get her health disorder diagnosed and treated. Both have rare disorders that have taken a toll on their lives but also propelled them to explore holistic ways of healing and being in life. Art making is a joy, it is nourishing, and connects us in ways that bringing us back to our innate belonging our essential nature, our true self.

But art is close to the heart and we need to know how to let go of worry, frustrations and be kind to ourselves in the art making process. We need to learn to connect and to be mindful and so this is where Kerry-Anne and Tracey bring their shared wisdom and unique brand of strength building to their work.

Click - WELLBEING to find out more about sound therapy, art therapy and traditional Reiki.

Traditional Japanese Reiki is one of many forms of TCM that is effective in pain management and treating emotional disorders such as depression and PTSD. This is something we offer outside of art making because we believe art making and a harmonious mindset brings deep connection.
