"The arts, quite simply, nourish the soul. They sustain, comfort, inspire" Gordon Gee.
Ebb & Flow Studio has been around for 5 years. It is a mainstream and inclusive art studio providing real visual arts development. One day many years ago two good friends Kerry-Anne and Tracey sat in a park in the Blue Mountains contemplating life, love and health. Both were on a healing journey with chronic conditions. Both have rare disorders that have taken a toll on their lives but also propelled them to explore holistic ways of healing and being in life. Purpose can guide life decisions, influence behaviour, shape goals, offer a sense of direction, and create meaning. For most people, purpose is connected to vocation—meaningful, satisfying, creative work. Art making is a joy, it is nourishing, and connects us in ways that bringing us back to our innate belonging our essential nature, our true self.
We love the work our students do -- we are not aiming for perfect, no way! Instead colour, movement, design, expression, joy, fun and connection. Visual time table below, of regular classes.
*Please note: the high-school classes are a staggered start so students can get here at 3:30pm or 4pm, this is because many get the bus and buses from different schools arrive at different times. It is a 2 hour class, for example a student who arrives at 3:30pm will finish at 5:30pm while a student who arrives at 4pm will finish at 6pm. Follow us: on facebook to see our exciting short courses as they come up.
