Adult Term 4, Canvas 'Express'

10wk Term Classes for: Adults

When: Fridays 7pm - 9pm or 

Wednesdays 10:30am - 12:30pm

We follow the public school term which

starts Monday 9 October - Friday 15 December

Course Outline: Express - We know that HSC students do a body of work for their HSC and for possible exhibition in Art Express but how do they formulate that work? Art has been a powerful form of expression for centuries. It speaks to our emotions, challenges our thoughts, and engages us on a deeper level. Art has proved to be an incredible force in driving social change and creating awareness around pertinent issues. In this term we will learn how to do more than paint images that are dear to us for expression. In this term we will learn how to take in a topic that is pertinent and create a statement piece, something that is thought provoking and part of a larger body of work, our collective voice. We will aim for an exibition piece. We are in this together!

We will paint in Acrylics primarily... unless you have learnt oils and then this is a choice but first layer will be acrylics to help the drying time.

Bridie Knibbs Tertiary Cadet at Ebb & Flow Studio. Graduated HSC Band 6 Visual Arts, Photography, Multi Media. Additional - Studying Visual Communications, Majoring in Photography at Torrens University. Bridie helps out in the studio.
