Kerry-Anne Knibbs
Original Australian Artist

Her Story
Kerry-Anne Knibbs is an Australian artist working from her studio in the Blue Mountains, NSW. She was one of the youngest to enter the selective college of Commercial Arts and Professional Illustration at the prestigious Randwick College, Sydney, over 33 years ago. Also completing comprehensive Fine Arts Training. She has had a varied career journey due to her health issues and disability, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, a connective tissue disorder. This lead her away from Graphic Design and into Community Services, Teaching, Counselling, Outreach and Art Therapy. But always sharing her love of art. She has been awarded twice with Outstanding Contributions to the Blue Mountains Community, for her creative and inclusive programs. Six years ago with her struggles to work, due to her EDS, she decided to begin an Art Studio, at home where she teaches youth, HSC students and adults, visual arts. She has many star students and believes in inclusive practices and teaching art from a strength based approach - art should be a joy! Kerry-Anne has always been passionate about supporting people in inclusive ways but experiences first hand how people with disabilities often are overlooked or under-supported. Online sales and online communities are great ways to support artists with a disability.
This is what my paintings are always about symbols of positive intentions - We are active players in our lives. Instead of standing back and letting life “happen” to us, we can practice living with intention by choosing how to spend our time and invest our energy.
