Sunnyboys – Abstract by Kerry-Anne Knibbs – Hello, and thank you for taking a closer look!
 
“I have a deep appreciation for symbols and abstract forms, seeing them as catalysts that embody energy in its purest form. In Feng Shui we find that artworks are one of the eight key elements used to attract positive energy and set intentions.”
 
I titled this piece Sunnyboys in homage to the white cockatoo, one of Australia’s most iconic birds. Known for its vibrant plumage, the cockatoo often glows as it sits in the sun, perched among the branches, much like party lights adorning a tree. These birds are sociable, intelligent, and have spirited personalities, despite their somewhat prehistoric-sounding calls. They are some of the most vocal characters in the Australian bush, filling the air with their lively chatter.
 
The cockatoo is a symbol of happiness, success, and fulfilment, teaching us the importance of being adaptable in the face of change—a crucial component of personal growth and success. They remind us to express our emotions freely, rather than keeping them bottled up inside.
